Golden Haus Dachshunds

Welcome to Our Dachshund Family

Raising happy, healthy, confident puppies — and placing them with families who will love them for years to come.

A letter from home

Welcome to our home and our little Dachshund family

My name is Charlotte Ivy, and I am passionate about raising Dachshunds with love, patience, and dedication.

Our goal is simple: to raise happy, healthy, confident puppies and place them with families who will love and care for them for many years to come.

For us, raising Dachshunds is not simply about breeding puppies. It is about creating a positive beginning for every puppy and making sure each one receives the attention, care, socialization, and nurturing they need during their early development.

We believe that the first weeks of a puppy’s life can have an important influence on their future personality and confidence. That is why we put so much care into providing a clean, safe, comfortable, and loving environment.

Our Love for Dachshunds

Small in size, enormous in personality

Dachshunds have a very special place in our hearts. They may be small in size, but they have enormous personalities. They are affectionate, intelligent, curious, playful, and often wonderfully independent.

Every Dachshund has its own personality, and one of the things we enjoy most is watching those personalities develop as our puppies grow.

Some puppies may be more adventurous and playful, while others may be calm, cuddly, or observant. We take the time to get to know each puppy individually rather than treating every puppy exactly the same.

Our aim is to help each puppy grow into a confident and loving companion while also helping prospective families understand the personality and needs of the puppy they are considering.

Our Breeding Philosophy

Responsible breeding starts with the parents

Before planning a litter, we carefully consider the health, temperament, structure, genetics, and overall well-being of our Dachshunds. We believe breeding decisions should always be made with the long-term health and welfare of both the parents and puppies in mind.

Our adult dogs receive regular veterinary care, proper nutrition, exercise, attention, and a comfortable living environment.

We also believe that breeding should never be rushed. The health and well-being of our dogs come first, and we carefully plan our litters rather than breeding simply for quantity.

Health and Veterinary Care

A foundation for a healthy, active life

The health of our Dachshunds and puppies is one of our most important responsibilities.

Our dogs receive routine veterinary care, and we monitor our mothers carefully throughout pregnancy and after giving birth. Puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary attention and are monitored as they grow.

We also pay particular attention to responsible Dachshund breeding because of the breed’s unique body structure. We want our puppies to have the best possible foundation for a healthy and active life.

Depending on age and veterinary recommendations, puppies receive appropriate vaccinations, deworming, health examinations, and other routine care.

We maintain records of the care provided to our puppies so their new families can better understand their early history and ongoing needs.

Raising Our Puppies

Hands-on care and plenty of human interaction

From their earliest days, we provide a clean, warm, and comfortable environment where puppies can develop safely. As they become more active, they are gradually introduced to everyday household sounds, gentle handling, different experiences, and positive human interaction.

Early socialization is an important part of our puppy-raising approach. We want our puppies to begin discovering the world in a calm and positive way.

We encourage gentle interaction and age-appropriate experiences while allowing each puppy to develop at their own pace.

Our puppies are never simply numbers or names on a list. We take pride in knowing their individual personalities, habits, and development.

Preparing for New Homes

Ready for the commitment ahead

Bringing home a puppy is an exciting experience, but it is also a long-term commitment.

Before a puppy leaves our care, we want their new family to be prepared for the responsibilities that come with owning a Dachshund. We are happy to discuss feeding, training, exercise, grooming, socialization, and general Dachshund care.

We encourage families to ask questions. There is no such thing as a question that is too small when it comes to preparing for a new puppy.

Our hope is that every family understands both the joys and responsibilities of welcoming a Dachshund into their home.

Finding the Right Family

More than choosing the cutest picture

Every puppy has a different personality, and every family has different expectations and lifestyles. We take this into consideration when communicating with prospective families.

Our goal is to help families find a Dachshund whose personality and needs are a good match for their household.

We value families who understand that a puppy is a long-term commitment and are prepared to provide love, veterinary care, training, proper nutrition, exercise, and companionship throughout the dog’s life.

Our Commitment

Our responsibility does not end when a puppy leaves

We care deeply about where our puppies go and want each one to have a loving, safe, and permanent home.

We encourage our families to stay in communication and to reach out whenever they have questions about their Dachshund. We want our families to feel supported as their puppy grows from a young dog into a lifelong companion.

We are proud when we hear updates, receive pictures, and see our puppies growing into happy members of their families.

More Than Puppies

Love for the breed at the heart of everything

We understand that welcoming a puppy into your home is a major decision. It means adding a new family member who will depend on you for many years.

That is why we strive to make our process thoughtful, honest, and centered around the well-being of our dogs and the families who welcome them.

We want our puppies to leave us not only healthy and cared for, but also ready to begin the next chapter of their lives with their new families.
