Safe Journeys Home

Shipping & Delivery

We offer delivery. Choose flight nanny, airline shipping, ground transport, airport handoff, or local pickup — planned for a calm, documented trip home.

We offer delivery nationwide

Yes — Golden Haus Dachshunds offers delivery for approved families. With the proper licensing and certifications in place, we help arrange travel across the United States and, when regulations allow, selected destinations farther afield. Fees change with distance, airline rules, and the delivery method you choose.

Comfort and safety come first. Every trip is planned so your puppy leaves with records, familiar food notes, and a travel setup that keeps stress as low as possible.

What shipping covers

A complete travel package

When airline shipping is arranged through our process, the quoted cost is meant to cover the essentials — so your puppy is prepared, documented, and comforted for the trip.

  • Airfare for your puppy’s trip
  • A travel crate designed for safe pet transport
  • A veterinary health certificate required for air travel
  • A starter care packet for the first days home
  • A portion of the food your puppy is already eating
  • Clear feeding and settling guidance attached for the journey

Choose your path

Ways we deliver your Dachshund

We offer several delivery paths: flight nanny, airline shipping, specialized ground service, airport pickup with us, or a local meet-up. We will help you pick what fits your destination and timeline.

Flight nanny delivery

$155 – $250

Many out-of-state families choose a professional flight nanny. Your Dachshund travels in-cabin with a trained companion and is handed to you at a nearby airport. Pricing typically starts around $155–$250 and is arranged directly with the transport company we recommend.

Specialized ground service

Varies by distance

Door-to-door van transport is available through reputable pet carriers for continental destinations. Cost depends on mileage and route. This is usually the higher-cost option compared with air travel, but some families prefer a ground-only journey.

Airport pickup with us

Complimentary

Out-of-state families who want to meet in person can fly in and collect their puppy from us at a nearby airport. We are glad to bring your Dachshund to the airport when schedules allow — often a round trip on our side at no extra charge — or welcome you closer to home when that fits better.

Local pickup

In-state & nearby

If you live nearby, we can arrange an in-person handoff. Unless we agree on another spot, meet-ups are often at a convenient public location. Local families may also schedule a visit by appointment when appropriate.

Cattery & home visits

In-home visits are limited. We protect our dogs from unnecessary disease risk and follow insurance guidelines for our property. Thank you for understanding — we are happy to meet in approved public locations or arrange video updates when a home visit is not possible.

Peace of mind

Comfortable transitions matter

Shipping a puppy can feel emotional — that is normal. Our process is built around experience with reputable carriers and careful prep so your Dachshund’s first journey is as steady as we can make it.

Before departure, we label the crate with feeding notes and pack water that stays available through the trip. Most flights land the same day, often within about four to seven hours of takeoff, depending on the route.

We stay in touch with the airline about schedules, delays, and connections so we can keep you updated. Inside the crate, soft bedding and a familiar-scent item help your puppy feel less alone until they are in your arms.

Before & after travel

Health papers and arrival steps

Air travel requires a veterinary health certificate. That document confirms your puppy is cleared for the journey under airline rules. We coordinate the exam timing so paperwork is current for departure.

Please be ready at the airport or home at the scheduled window. With counter-to-counter flights, puppies are often ready for pickup roughly an hour after landing. Bring a valid photo ID.

Once your Dachshund is home, message us so we know the handoff went smoothly. Within 48 hours, schedule a wellness visit with your own veterinarian — a smart standard for every new puppy. We also follow up about a day later to answer questions and check that settling in is going well.
